What I Threw Out Today

I began September 21 2010 - To record of some ephemera I had collected before disposing of them

Another level

I was surprised to find in my 'blind' reaching for items from the big box that I reached a 'bottom' at the 'top', that is, I obviously had closed the big box as 'full' and then stacked more stuff on top of the closed surface. That's what I reached today, so tomorrow, there will be an opening of that big box and the discovery of who knows what forgotten 'treasures'.
But first, I need to 'endorse myself' for another 'emptying' of the WITOT box. I felt good and satisfied when I put the first of today's items into the emptiness, to get started yet again.
Today's selection isn't very exciting, nor could I make myself throw every item out. Will that day ever come when I have a 100% throw-out?

I had forgotten all about this Memo Board, a gift from one of my daughters, with a note from my granddaughter written on it. No way can I throw this out, but I need to get help from someone to hang it up on the side of my shelves.

I'm not keeping this new 'Wrapping Paper', but I'm not throwing it out either. I will give it to Tony, the keeper of such items, for the next time we need wrapping in a hurry. Personally, I don't like this combination and can't imagine myself buying it!

Not sure what I used to use this key-ring for, but I will return it to Tony from whom I got it.

This is a neat little spoon with folding handle. I probably got it with ice-cream or something.
Anyway, I made myself put it in the WITOT box.

This looks like the insert from a tissue box, though I never remember seeing such a fancy one with a red metalic surface.
Put it in the WITOT box.

Piece of string attached to twigs. Not the foggiest notion of where it came from or what it was used for. The string looks very weathered, like it might have spent a long time out-of-doors.
Straight into the WITOT box.

Not very happy with the quality of the images. Think I need to use a permanent flash setting, even though the table on which I place them is white, is under the window, and I imagined it would reflect plenty of light. We learn something every day
