Again, I took the image on the correct day, but am not going to get to write up the notes.
LETTER 1
Ad for Job Vacancy in Carmichael Centre for an assistant to the supervisor. Not sure where I got this from, as my perception is that I had well left Carmichael Centre at that stage (1997)
PAPER BAG
This is an Easons bag, no doubt off some book that I bought there. The label showing Family archive may indicate that I used it for temporary storage of ephemera before putting them in one of the cardboard boxes from which they are now being removed.
LETTER 2
This letter is also 1997, and also originates from Carmichael Centre. It was an ambitious fundraiser to aim to get 10,000,000 miles sponsored for. I wonder how well they succeeded.
NOTE 1
this note seems to show a plan for a family blitz on re-decorating
JOTTER
The jotter (this kind of upright copy) shows someone's doodles, and a crossed out phone number
NOTE 2
This seems to be a task list and a lot of items are ticked so some people worked very hard. I remember how much I disliked re-decoration, and even thinking about it briefly still makes me want to block it out of my mind.
PRAYER BOOKLET
This was used at Camp Jesus in Belcamp, not sure which year. Thinking back on the effort that went into these evangelical camps for young people, all I can hope is that the love invested in the children and young people will continue to bear fruit in their lives.
PLASTIC BAG
This blue plastic bag refers to Rush Co Dublin. We had an ancient caravan there, and enjoyed several summers there, first sharing with my sister and her family, and then on our own. Eventually, the owner of the ground decided to build a house, so all the caravans had to be moved. Ours was incapable of being moved, but we found people who were willing to take the contents, and in the end, the shell was burnt and removed.
The souvenirs
these are presumably in a different box to the one I am currently emptying.
