HARDWARE FAILURE

I actually was on my way to bed last night, after midnight when I realized that I hadn't done my 'throw out', so tired and all as I was, I commanded my muscles and came back into the work-room and switched on the computers, and got out the camera and photographed the items.
It was only when I went to upload the image that I found the HARDWARE FAILURE - the internet just wouldn't connect.
In the end, I gave up and went to bed.
Sometime in the middle of the night, I woke up and remembered that I hadn't tried the ethernet wire connection. So that's how I am connecting this morning. (Need to make time to sort out both of my computers before they get so jammed that they fail totally)
 SUNDAY'S ITEMS

PLASTIC BAG
This came from Eretria in Africa, the birthplace of good friend Michael G and his wife Elsa who now live in Ireland.

NOTE ONE
On the back of an envelope in Tony's writing dated Sept 12 2009: The names of the shredder and the composter I use, information to be passed on to Laurence from France and helped me with the early steps of my thesis and my degree show while I talked English to her.

NOTE TWO
In green marker, also in Tony's handwriting. Record of 'nag message' regarding software updates. Also says click Cancel in my handwriting. Obviously, this must have come up some time when Tony was accessing the iMac computer and I wasn't here for him to ask me what to do.

NOTE THREE
Again Tony's handwriting, reminding me of items I promised people to do or to send. Items are ticked, which is some consolation. The note probably dates from some time during my studies when I was particularly overloading myself.

SERVIETTE
Dated Feb 6 2009 from a meal with Tallaght Christian Choir in Kennedy's in Tallaght. Listed are items we ate.

MENU
On  yellow paper, this is what we made our choices from.

RECEIPT
For photographs developed. Part of performance project during compulsory elective in Sculpture Dept NCAD which I did March 11 2009

MONDAY'S ITEMS - OCTOBER 4 2010

PACKING
This packing is from a wonderful box of handmade chocolates - not sure who gave them to us - was it Laurence, or one of our SERVAS guests. Anyway, you can read about the choclates here

NEWSLETTER
The Parish Newsletter is from Boris-in-Ossory where I attend Mass when I visit my sister who lives in Laois. The first sentence of the sermonette is impressive: "I've heard it said that some people who suffer from burnout have never been on fire."

BUS-TIMETABLES
The Buseireann 12 bus is the one I sometimes take to Borris in Ossory. No date on the printout, but I suspect it is from the trip around March 1.
TRAIN TIMETABLE
Printout dated Feb 27, and annotated in my husband's handwriting, I am touched to note he reminds me about the delay at Templemore on some of the trains. He is remembering how much I dislike that wait, though one time I took some nice photos there while I was waiting - wonder where they are ...

BUSINESS CARD
This little card is from my former employers, Tallaght Community Mediation. I retired on my 65th birthday, Apriil 23 2002.
NOTE
This small note dated Sept 30 2008 refers to my job as a shelver in NCAD library. I think it is not long after I began working there, and I am obviously worrying about the lack of shelving space. How wonderful to have so many books in a library that shortage of shelving becomes a challenge.
WRAPPER
From Cadbury's chocolate bar, cranberry and granola. Someone must have given me this, or perhaps it was a free offer sample.
2 X POSTCARDS
These are from someone else's project in NCAD 2009. I think the idea was to take people on guided tours of the various disrupted and unfinished street-scapes around the college.
