What I Threw Out Today

I began September 21 2010 - To record of some ephemera I had collected before disposing of them

Is it me or the camera?

The colouring in this image isn't a bit like the reality. Wonder will it look better online? (No such luck!) The serviette should be bright red, and the party hat should be bright yellow. Even the little green charm is a lot more vivid than it is in reality.
So either the camera is on the blink, or I have the settings wrong - which might be fairly average. The aperture is set to 3.5. I would have wanted to change this, but I couldn't find the setting, and at this hour, I'm too tired to root out the manual.

YELLOW POST-IT
Souvenir of setting up The Wrinkley's Playhouse in NCAD. These are the measurements for assembling the arms and the rods of the banners stand.
Each rod had a knob at either end and needed to be evenly spaced. In the end, I have an idea that we decided to only put knobs on the outer ends.
The postscript to this item is that I have totally mislaid the banners and so wasn't able to display them at the smaller exhibition at the RDS. Maybe the stand would have been overbearing in the smaller setting.
ORANGE POST-ITS
These are also from the NCAD exhibition. The first one is a reminder/shopping list, and the second is notes taken during a phone-call to VODAFONE getting instructions on how to top-up the Internet dongle. As it happens, we didn't use it, other than for testing as a fellow student lent me a wireless modem which was more stable.
RED SERVIETTE and YELLOW PARTY-HAT
These items fell out of a wrapped box a day or so ago. They are a souvenir of the Parish Christmas dinner in the Old Mill in 2010. Not sure how the yellow hat looked on my white hair!
GOLD RIBBON and GREEN CHARM
These were part of the wrapping of the gift I received at the dinner.
TICKET
Ticket 278 was the ticket that identified which of the gifts I would receive. The system is that you get a ticket as you enter, and collect your prize when your number is called out. Better than a raffle as there is a prize for everyone.
