None of the items in today's image are from the distant past, in fact they are all from the day before yesterday - Thursday Dec 16. The idea is to get the items listed and into the 'recycling box' without them being added to the ARCHIVE at all.
Dealing with the items late at night when I am tired, I will hopefully catch myself with my guard down, and have them disposed of before I catch myself.
We'll see if it works.
MENU
Some of the parishioners organize a Parish Dinner each Christmas in The Old Mill. The food is excellent. I had melon, Turkey and Ham and Apple Pie with cream. I drank water as I don't drink tea or coffee.
PAPERHAT
Think this was Tony's paper hat, but I kept it because I loved the greeness of it.
CRACKER
This is just part of the cracker which Tony and I pulled between us. Not sure how it came about that I didn't get a cracker for myself.
TICKET
The ticket, barely visible at bottom right of image, actually has a story about it. At the start of the function, we each get to choose a folded ticket. The one I got was number 321. The system was that each gift had a ticket on it, and the numbers were drawn throughout the meal. But my ticket didn't come up and neither did Tony's. So the end they gave us parcels with different numbers. Mine was a most unusual gadget for cooking pasta not using a stove. I will write about it some day if it works.
WRAPPING
I really had to struggle not save that lovely red shiny paper. This is what my strange pasta 'cooker' was wrapped in.
