The items in this posting thankfully survived the inadvertant disposal of the previous items from postings marked ****.
Most of these items are from the trip we took to Tralee in November.
MAP
This shows the railway station we arrived at and the relatively short walk we took to the Meadowlands Hotel.
CATALOGUE
the MANFROTTO catalogue had nothing to do with Tralee. It dates from 2009 when my son and I went halves on an expensive professional tripod. It is very heavy, but wonderfully steady and able to lean over a subject in a very distinctive way.
DOOR-NOTICE
I found it intriguing that the hotel could imagine people putting out this notice when (I thought) most people would be fast asleep in their beds. Then I realized that my assumption glaringly betrays my age!
RECEIPT
I was intrigued that the public library account is now totally computerized, and keeps a record of the books I borrow, when I borrow them and when I return them. It's a long way from the manual systems that were in place when I first joined the public library in Drumcondra around 1947 when I was ten years old.
