What I Threw Out Today

I began September 21 2010 - To record of some ephemera I had collected before disposing of them

Cupla Focail (a few words)

Geall me (I promised) dom' fein (to myself) cupla focail Gaelige (a few words of Irish) a usuaid (to use) gac la. (every day)
There are a lot of 'fadas' missing. Not sure what you call a 'fada' in English - literally it means 'long' and changes the sound of a vowel when a line is put over them. Wonder could I work around it by using French acute letters pasted from Open Office. Will just try and see if it works.

ÁÉÍÓÚ áéíóú

Excellent! Now I just have to correct the errors in the above 'cúpla' focail - Actually I won't bother tonight - that's a challenge for the next effort.

MORE ITEMS FROM TRALEE
LACE MAT
One of the nights we went into the adjoining bar where there was a girlhaving a birthday party, and the O'Shea Brothers were playing Irish music.
Delicious tiny savories were served on the lace mat, but the music was the most tasty part of all.

BAG 1
Sugar bag from one of my husband's numerous cups of tea.

 PAPER
Print-out of the email directions regarding the booking for the hotel.

BAG 2
From Lemsip which I took as I was afraid I was developing a head-cold.

BAG 3
From Tesco crisps. I'd say these are made by Walkers - very thin, and scarcely a bite in them at all. How I wish I could get the crisps I so often got abroad, thick and ridged, with no additives or flavourings, only potatoes, vegetable oil and sea-salt!
COASTER MAT
This was meant to go under a cup or a glass, but never got used.
CARD
This is the card that went with the hotel-room key. Very useful, in the event I forgot the number of our room.
BOX
This hotel supplied the same soap - Karre brand - as the hotel we stayed in after Christmas.
Nearly forgot to say - a major glitch has occurred in the C-BOX process!
Last night, I discovered that the recycling box, containing all the items I have 'thrown out' since whatever day it was that I made the bundle for the C-BOX,  had been inadvertently thrown in the re-cycling bin, and COLLECTED by the local authority!
As before, I have no memory of what was in the bin, so that, so long as I don't look back on the entries since the C-BOX day, it won't bother me. Hopefully by the time the next C-BOX day comes around, I will have reached a point where the pain of loss will have subsided. Meantime, I hope that it won't happen again - don't want to make a big fuss, but I would really like if it didn't happen again. Maybe I should put a post-it saying ASK ME FIRST!
