What I Threw Out Today

I began September 21 2010 - To record of some ephemera I had collected before disposing of them

1980's

A few mixed items here.
ADVERT
Only part of this is visible. It is actually a series of coupons for getting money back on selected cleaning products. None of the coupons have been used.
PRESCRIPTION
Although you cannot see it in the image, I can tell you that the date on the prescription is May 29 1986. I don't think the medicine, a painkiller called Ponstan I think, was ever collected. Sometimes going to this particular doctor can be such a good experience that this provides the cure. It used to be called a 'good bedside manner'.
NOTE 1
I have difficulty remembering official numbers, so this blog is likely to include more than one note reminding me of what my Social Insurance number is.
NOTE 2
This is another reminder note, but for a different number, this time called a Social Welfare number. I don't think either of them are phone-numbers.
NOTE 3
The note which says 'To go on top of BED' is probably a sorting note, that is a piece of paper used when I am clearing clutter by making piles of objects and papers on the floor. I have to label them as I tend to forget what is supposed to go in each pile. However, I am a bit of a loss to try and think what might be stored 'on top of the bed'. It could have been a bunk bed that wasn't being used for sleeping, and was functioning as a large storage-shelf.
NOTE 4
The note about Car Repairs is a bit of a mystery also. It has a man's name and phone-number. But we never owned a car other than for a few weeks when living in Tipperary in 1964.
CARDBOARD SCRAP
Not quite sure what the date of this would be, but the fact that there is no '4' at the front of our phone-number shows it's a good while ago.
ENVELOPE
Look at the lovely clear postmark for 1981. This letter came from my husband's sister I imagine.
