At this stage when I take a pile and assemble it to form a photo, I am at a loss to see whatever connection I saw that day between the various items.
So I will just list them, and leave readers to think up a connection for themselves.
Newspaper article with delightful heading "Criminal rehab pilot programme to expand" and a picture of my former boss, Peter Keeley.
Of course, Peter is anything other than a "criminal pilot" of any type. The article is good news about the continued success of the former Victim/Offender Mediation service, now known as Restorative Justice Services. My particular interest is that I was involved in the original negotiations with the Probation and Welfare Service that set up the service, back in about 1996 or so.
Copy of Echo which contains article about my degree show. Well, I thought I could include a link to the Echo archive so you could read the article, but unfortunately all I got was a 404 failed URL. I've emailed the Echo to see if they can either sort the link, or send me a copy of the article - so watch this space!
Programme of musical evening held in St Dominic's Community Centre a few weeks ago. Run by a neighbour of ours, we just sat there and soaked in a two-hour operatic feast
Delightful
Not so delightful, the container from the thyroid medication which I get each month. Note the 'childproof lid'. Not sure how other people manage these lids - but I hate them, and usually leave it to my husband to struggle till eventually he gets it open, and transfers the tablets to a more civilized container.
But yesterday, he had to take a hammer to it to eventually get it open. It was the last straw. I phoned the pharmacy, ready to fight with them to make them pack the tablets in an ordinary container.
Happily, the pharmacist was very pleasant - she explained that by law she had to use the childproof version, but that since I had requested the 'ordinary' type, she was now free to give me what I wanted.
Card from Italian Restaurant - it shows an address in Westland Row, but I am fairly sure that this is a place I visited in Temple Bar with my daughter - not even sure where we were going, or coming from.
Baby card - latest baby is my grand-niece in Barcelona. She was born October 31 last year, so I am somewhat belated - a very slow snail mail.
Fatima postcard - sent to me by my husband May/June 2011
Birthday card from my daughter and her family - was it this 2012 or 2011. This year's gift was three Lavender Hidecote lavenders.
