When my neighbour's house was being re-constructed after a fire, this set of shelves was moved out to the front garden near the skip containing all the rubbish and debris. Thinking the shelves were also going to be thrown out, I asked if I could take them. It turned out they were only being stored there, but Carmel generously gave them to me to add to storage space in our attic.
In 2010, as part of putting order on some of the materials for my
Wrinkley's Playhouse degree show, I used the shelves to accommodate 'sorting boxes', and this is what I have used them for since then.
However, I never did get around to putting any kind of order on the boxes, so each time I need to 'file' an item, I have to scan the boxes until I find the correct one.

So this morning, I am remedying this situation by using some kind of logic to restack the boxes, and more importantly, making an index list so I can more easily find the box I need.

Yes, I know this is not about 'throwing out' stuff - but be patient, some day it might be! Maybe some day I will go through the boxes and photograph and list the contents and even throw some of them out - who knows?
