GARDEN
This is a diagram showing what was planted in my aunt's garden in Walkinstown. My husband and I used to help her with this big garden after her husband had died and her children had moved away.
I pass this house each time I go to town in the 77a bus. The new owners favour a classical look, and I think only the birch tree remains of the garden I knew. (top left corner of image to right)
VISA WAIVER
I have to fill one of these in each time I visit the United States. This one is for the visit I made last year when I was staying in the Pennsylvania Hotel, across the road from Madison Gardens.
It was a student field trip to attend the big exhibitions at the Armory and VOLTA.
CLEANER'S LABEL
The writing is very faint so I can't say what garment this was originally attached to for the process of dry-cleaning.
PERFUME BOTTLE
This bottle was given to me, possibly in the 1960's by my friend Hildegard from Munster. It gave me great delight to have 'Eau de Koln' which actually came from Koln.
BOOKMARK and bag
This dates from just a week or two ago. My husband visited Monegal the day after Barak Obama and his wife visited there on their state visit. I like the idea that our marriage is above all a 'friendship'. Yes, I am discarding the bag (Boo!Hoo!) but will keep and use the book-mark.
NOTES
Some of the numerous notes both from me to myself, and from my husband to me.
Some are self-explanatory.
The middle one is a record I kept of a series of annoying text messages I kept getting. Eventually, I managed to contact the organization concerned and put a stop to them. But it was annoying while it lasted.
