It is quite early today as I begin this task of throwing out some more items and I am amazed that what up to now has been a task I couldn't face is now even a pleasure.
What an inspiration this idea of my son's is - that I can create by throwing out - and how the Child part of me rejoices in the neatenss of this paradox.
Today's items are:
LABEL (Actually this note is about a different label which hasn't yet surfaced. See below)
This is off the black gloves I bought in Penneys. I thought there were two pairs in the pack, but either there were only three gloves, or one of them did a disappearing act when I was unwrapping them! Anyway, these gloves are small but warm enough for chilly autumn days before the real winter cold sets in and I have to wear much thicker gloves.
CASHCARD
This card was handed to me when I put a donation in the collector's box outside the town/county hall in Sligo. A different charity collects in this spot each Friday when I pass by on my way from the railway station to invigilate at the Model Niland Gallery on the Mall.
6 X WRAPPERS
More Softmint wrappers. I certainly consume a lot of these sweets. Sometimes I use them to lubricate a tickle in my throat, sometimes to relieve slight indigestion, but most times I just chew them to enjoy them.
SMALL BOX
I think this box contained a chocolate covered cherry liqueur sweet. I may have got it from Joey's friend from Taiwan.
CHOCOLATE WRAPPER
Celtic Chocolates are an Irish company, and we buy from them in bulk. Tony loves these bars and I do also, but at 65% cocoa, I find them too easy to gobble down in abundance. So most of the time I go for a more bitter chocolate at 85% cocoa.
NOTE FROM TONY
This note refers to the screws we used as part of the Wrinkley's Playhouse exhibition piece. Batons with these hooks are installed at the ceiling/wall junction in all the rooms of our house. Currently items from the exhibition are hanging on the hooks.

In fact, Tony eventually got the hooks retail from various branches of Woodies DIY, rather than from this wholesaler.
SERVIETTE
This serviette records the day I joined CREATE. This is the start of a journey which may or may not influence the kind of work I will do from now on.
BUSINESS CARD
This business card records the existence of this delightful eating place where the staff is very efficient and pleasant, the food delicious, and the ambience of the former bank premises is a pleasant mix of old and new. The art display is an added bonus.
Another day's throwing out accomplished.
An interesting deviation (not sure this is the right word) occurred as I was throwing the items in the recycling box. I redecided on the hook attached to the label off the gloves (see above) I thought maybe the hook might be capable of use in my other work, and opened the label to see how it was fixed. Inside was a handwritten note which said:
Pink Gloves October 1993 "Rosie's comment: Startling"
