Images show Box 39 before and after opening (a reconstruction in the front room, as you can see by the background)
Sorry the quality of the video is so poor. It only looks marginally better when I don't use full screen. I tried loading a better version, but Blogger refused to process. If anyone has a link to simple settings which will give me a clear picture with small file-size, please let me know.
Really this is the story of my life, taking on more than I can hope to chew (at least in the short-term).

As the month of May 2010 progressed, according as I selected items I knew I was NOT going to exhibit in the college, I started hanging them around the walls - primarily as a way of making sure they didn't get swallowed up in the chaos again.Alongside this, I was working on the CCTV ideas. This image shows the rig, and the pieces of dry-cleaners plastic on which I was experimenting with projection of the CCTV images.
The intention was now a lot clearer. Items that belonged to family members for the most part would be displayed in the front and the CCTV cameras would convey images of them to the college over the internet. I would then project those images in such a way that viewers would 'pass through' the projection before entering the main exhibition space
As well as experimenting with the proposed projection, I was also working on the motor which would rotate the rig.
What you can see in this image is an overhead view of the motor on the table, and the rig on the floor alongside it.
As I mentioned elsewhere, this motor was from a disco-ball, and rotated in one direction. In this picture, you can also see the 'striker' (to the left) which halted the motor after it had made one revolution. Many times, this worked ideally: When the motor restarted, it went in the opposite direction, which was exactly what I wanted. Sadly, this was a fluke, and inevitably, there was a time when the motor tried to continue in the direction it was already going. The striker prevented it from doing so, and the motor burned out.
