This proved a wise decision. I have no idea how many times these boxes were moved, not just the original move to the attic, and then the stacking of them in numerical order, but also the number of times they were moved around the Front Room, and then into the college, and then out again, and then around the room more than once again, until very recently (May 2011) they reached what for the moment is their final home in my new store-room (unless of course, I am invited to do my performance again, and I get to open yet another box.

Whenever they seemed to be settled, more 'stuff' was piled in front of them, then cleared away, the boxes were re-stacked, there was no end to it all.
And the interesting thing is that I have no clear idea what the specific boxes contain, so whenever I get to open one, I am just as surprised at the contents as the viewer is.

On one occasion, I experimented with stacking some of the boxes as a screen in front of the window.
I really liked this effect, especially the view from outside as darkness fell, and the light could be seen behind them.

I don't know how long they might have remained like this, had not GRAVITY taken a hand in the proceedings. One evening, I was in the kitchen, and heard a crash.
and that was the end of that experiment. Wasn't it a mercy that they didn't fall on me as some of them were quite heavy!
