in the context of the riots in the UK where old buildings have been burned down.
After New York, I was wallowing in stuff, aiming to create some kind of order, but not doing very well!
By now I was minding some mattresses - or was it a spare bed because someone was staying?
The confusion is one great blur. I think this shows everything moved out into the hall, in the hopes of making it a bit tidier when it was repacked.
And here, it does look a little tidier - the problem was that the tidier the room became, the more I forgot what was where - in other words - the greater the mental confusion.
Looking back, I'm not sure how I preserved my sanity.
These numbered boxes became one of the features of the show. Originally, some of them had been carefully packed and listed. But in the move down from the attic, several very large boxes had been repacked into these smaller boxes to make them easier to carry - with the result I was as surprised as anyone when their contents was revealed.
These small boxes led a nomadic existence within that Front Room - sometimes being stacked against one wall, sometimes against another.
I love the way the rest of the room is reflected in the mirror!
Another move -
and yet another!
I think my mother helped to knit this doll with one of my daughters.
Notice how it has been stuffed with old stockings.
I had to put this image in showing that some of the floor was visible in the process - the date of the picture is Tuesday March 30th - maybe I had to clear a space for someone to stay with us over the Easter - or perhaps it was because everything was stacked in the hallway!
The Real start of the Degree show.
Here is the CCTV equipment unpacked, ready to begin the experiments using the internet.
The monitor showing the four images from the four cameras

See how neatly the cables are rolled - I have to admit that they rarely looked as well as this.
