Another reason why this posting could be called 'Mixed Up' is the juxtaposition of political, religious, study, and travel in one image.
Item left around after my wonderful 'gardening holiday' in September 2014.
This is the holiday house in which we were based.
No, this isn't a travel bag as such. It goes back to at least 2010, and is one of the bags I wore out with daily useage during my time in NCAD (art college). The two cards have gone into the WITOT box, but the little keys are in the rubbish as I don't think they would recycle.
This paperwork is from a conference I attended, I think it was in Oct 2014. It was balm to my soul to hear presentations all based around our 'new' Pope Francis. He is my spiritual hero, and I read his tweets daily, and many of his homilies and publications also.
I attended this Dominican Family Day, not sure of the date, but it was before the Pope Francis one. I experienced a wake-up moment around two factors - one that the Rosary is for everyone and can be said in different ways, and two, that eveangelization takes place one-to-one, as one person lights another person's fire.
This is the 'mix-up' I had in mind in the title - the 'passport' has nothing to do with the 2011 referendum, though the Presidential election in which Gay Mitchell was a candidate was October 27 that same year. I couldn't even remember what the referendum was about until I read that blurb. It had to do with reducing judges pay and government conducting enquiries. Neither can I remember what the outcome was (Just learned through wikipedia that both events did take place on the same day and that reducing the judges pay was passed by almost 80% while some 54% rejected giving the Government the right to initiate enquiries. These are the candidates for the Presidential election. I think I voted for Sean Gallagher, but Michael D won, and in fact turns out to be quite a good president with a style all his own.
No idea why I should have kept the missalette for July 20 2014. Hardly because it would have been my brother's 75th birthday had he lived.
Anyway, I've still kept it, in the box marked 'religious' in what are known as 'Carmel's Pink shelves'.
It's now 1100, time for breakfast!
