Anyway, am on track again, so here is another 'tranche' or is it 'traunche' - must look it up!
In structured finance, a tranche, sometimes spelled traunch ortraunche, is one of a number of related securities offered as part of the same transaction. The word tranche is French for slice, section, series, or portion (wikipedia)I'm amazed! Great that I got the right spelling first go, (I'm admitting it was a guess). But I'm more amazed at the information given. I've no idea where or when I first heard the word, but I'm using it correctly, though as a metaphor of course.
So anyway (again) here are the images, though without their notes as I'm starving for my breakfast, yet again.
This is an unsorted pile, just to give an idea of the extent of the task in hand (it doesn't show the half!)
Today's collection (actually last Tuesday's as I am writing these remarks on Friday Dec 12)
I really have no idea where these cards appeared from. London and Galway addresses appear.
But a 'tour company' - not my style usually, so am mystified as to why I have two or these cards.
This booklet has nothing to do with 'Bloom' the gardening festival, other than that there is a stamp commemorating it. However, the note shows that I did a bit of UFB (unfinished business) by phoning the philately people and reorganized my order for first day covers with them - something I had been meaning to do for ages.
This packing from my phone surfaced wihile doing a major search through of the storage boxes. The packing I threw out, but the box I kept as it is the exact size to hold all those free-travel tickets that tell the story of where I've been and when.
The empty role of cellotape is a trophy of the amount of work done on the sort-out - labels on boxes had their cellotape renewed in most cases. I took two views as it was a nice shape.Originally this little bag held the battery for the S 50 camera. This is now in the little Lowepro bag (hope I have that name correct)
Obviously this blue bag is off some electronic item - no idea what item, but I like the colour of the bag (it is now in the WITOT box)
Just thought I'd include this image of the socks that are drying on the radiator alongside the table where I photograph the items for this blog.
Well, that's one set of notes done, just one more to do, and then I'll have another late breakfast!
