Like Post Vatican II ....

My son was remarking on how long it is since I have posted to this blog. So today, I just picked up some recent items and scanned them.
Clockwise the items are:
Ellen Tracy Label off back-scrubbing brush received as Christmas gift 2012.
Label from gardening gloves which I got as a Kris Kringle gift when I attended the get-together of the Garden.ie online club, held in Johnstown Garden Centre, January 2013.
Leaflet from Dalkey Garden School - could be I got this at that Johnstown event, but I don't remember, and currently I am not in a financial position to do any courses about anything.
More labels, this time from a Christmas gift of black and green tops received at Christmas, and first worn at the St Patrick's Day Mass 2013.
Handwritten note and card regarding my appearance on the Prime Time TV programme (Feb 26 2013)when the topic of gender equality in the Dail was discussed.

Why is this like Post-Vatican II?
Some theologian said that the challenge of Vatican II was to get the church to move on its desert journey, having 'rested' for about 200 years!
For me, getting back to the task of recording, blogging, and throwing things out is a bit like that - resuming a journey after a prolonged 'rest'.
