When I was in the Texas convent (1957-60), we used to keep total silence until after the ceremonies, and meantime did major 'spring-cleaning'. One year, I disturbed a nest of cockroaches in a cupboard of little-used vestments. All in silence, I had to deal with my terror as they flew in circles around the light over my head. I must have swatted some of them, as I have a vague recollection of sweeping up corpses in a long-handled dustpan and carrying them along corridors until I could dump them in the garden.
I was reminded of this incident when I decided today that I would work on clearing the tables here in my work-room today.
Here's what the tables looked like today

Looking back, here's a picture from February

And here's a picture from November -
That box has migrated, and the piles have got bigger.
Time for some serious work.
Of course, I could just pile the stuff all on to one table - that would look like I did some work - but really, I just have to bite the bullet and get the item's photographed and disposed of.
