What I Threw Out Today

I began September 21 2010 - To record of some ephemera I had collected before disposing of them

Recording that MERGER

So when DOCKLANDS was finished, I went back to blogging - see here . Although it doesn't look much different than what I had been doing before, inside me there was a considerable shift.

The daily exposure to the feelings of people whose historical identity had been disrupted by the removal of much of the physical remains of dockland life;
the replacement of old buildings with apartments, and the assumption that this would mean the formation of a 'new community' had made me aware that the issues I was facing in my own home, were a reflection of similar 'separations' taking place in communities and societies,

Then  another break in JULY, this time while we went set-dancing again to the Willie Clancy Week in Miltown Malbay. Another great holiday, Then working in the garden and little by little, removing 'art stuff' from domestic areas, in the hope of 'giving our home a make-over'.

When I got back to blogging for the now umpteenth time, I took quite a different tack as I started to trace the origins of the current situation/chaos.

Looking back now, I think that I am probably seeking to 'put it all to bed' for once and for all, by writing it down in a reasonably coherent way.
