More than MID-WAY- summing up and OVER-VIEW

I think this is probably as good a time as any to look back and record what I have done so far, and what still needs to be done.
Hope I'm not being too optomistic when I title this posting 'MORE than mid-way'

Maybe first of all I need some headings:
  • The project was originally about the ARCHIVE
  • The secondary project is about the HOME.

The GOAL of the archive project was multifacetted.
I wanted to find a place to store all the stuff that I had used in the Degree show, since I felt that virtually all this material still has emotional significance for me, and possibly also for some members of the family.

I wanted to sort through the materials that had NOT been used in the Degree show. Some I wanted to keep, but some I wants to get to a point of being able to let them go - either to new homes, or to be thrown out.

The GOAL of the MAKE-OVER project was to somehow disentangle the 'arty stuff' from the domestic scene, when currently there was art everywhere.

So, what have I done, and what still remains to be done?

Maybe I should pose a few questions for myself to answer:

Which rooms were affected by the over-flow of art?
  • Front Room
    • THEN
      • Boxes
      • Bags
      •  St V de Paul stuff
      • National Library stuff (see bags in image)
      • Toys
      • Hanging Objects
      • CCTV stuff
      • Ceiling Rig
    •  NOW
      • Box One: Montessori stuff for art project/performance
      • Box Two: TAI and TA materials, for possible re-use
      • Bag: New Cana Accounts possibly for National Archive
  • Kitchen
    •  THEN
      • Rosie Boxes
      • National Library stuff
      • Tools from constructing storage shelving
    • NOW
      • 1 x Ikea White table
      • Various boxes of Technical aparatus and materials
  • Hall
  • THEN
    • Verious Hangings
    • Box of books (see book-worms in image. Click the link if you want to find out more about real worms that eat books.)
    • Items for Mary
    • Domestic items hanging
  • NOW
    • Domestic items hanging
  • Stairs
  • THEN
    • Hangings
    • Work jacket
    • Bells

    • Lines used for MEMORIAL
Which rooms are NOW affected by art-overflow?
There are still items in all the locations.
REASON/EXCUSE Haven't thought through where is the proper place for these items.
Where do you plan to store art items which will be removed from domestic rooms?
Mostly in STORE-ROOM, some in WORK-ROOM, few possibly in ATTIC

What had been removed from the domestic rooms that needs to be returned?
Chairs. Not in a hurry to restore these as want to enjoy the room being totally empty for a while.
Chrome/glass tea trolley Not sure this fits, but definitely don't want to dispose of it.
What if anything needs to be added to the domestic rooms to create the MAKE-OVER effect you envisage?
We already bought a new black lampshade
What level of cleaning-up will need to be done in the domestic rooms?
General cleaning, vacuuming, floor-washing in kitchen. Might get hall carpet washed when all is complete.
Where do you envisage storing art-work-in-progress?
I will need to enforce strict self-discipline to keep all art work in my work-room.

This conversation with myself shows that what I envisage is possible.
Between the lines, I can feel the hints of resistence, and rumblings of the internal struggle which will require much 'commanding of the muscles' to make it happen.
