Try-ers try, Will-ers, WILL!I was struck to the core, and since that day, I have developed/cultivated a strong aversion to using the word 'TRY'.
So when I entitled this posting "Pushing it", it's more of an aspiration than a fact. But by 'making an effort', rather than 'trying', I am getting there - slower than I might like, but steadily just the same.
This evening, I have the blog open in one machine, and the folder of blog images I have already selected from the zillions of images I created since the start of the year. My plan is to us the ones I haven't used yet - the grouping of them may not be logical, but here goes anyway.
Actually these three images aren't so illogical after all.
Image one shows containers of 'trash' collected item by item from on top of and mixed in with the soil in my garden.
This garden was laid (again) as a millenium, so much of this stuff should date 2000+. I suspect some items might be earlier.
I have to admit that although the items made it as far as a large plastic bag, they haven't yet arrived in the bin. At some level, I think I fancy myself as an urban archaeologist, with the corollary that these items have a value as markers of the inhabitants of the area.
Image two shows garden 'waste' ready for shredding. So does that count as 'throwing out'? After all, when turned into compost, they are not the items I collected, but when re-distributed as nutrients to the soil, I can hardly say I have 'disposed of' them!
Image three is trash, and has been thrown out.
I'm not at all clear how I managed to detach myself from these items as opposed to the others.
Ah, the mystery, the logical illogic of this artist's mind!
