What I Threw Out Today

More Non-throw-outs!

I don't have a composite image of all the items below.
This is luck money I got at the funeral of our Vietnamese friend Luong Li Minh who was murdered in Temple Bar some years ago - imagine coming to Ireland to escape political brutality in his own country, and being murdered by street violence in Dublin.
Not sure where the elastic bands came from.
The cedar ball is for protection against clothes-moths and it somehow escaped from my clothes basket-store. Think I may have restored it to its proper place.
The tiny blocks are beautifully made. I think they are probably from a mathematics set, a bit like cuisinere rods. Don't know where I got them. Wonder did I throw these in that special bin where I could rescue them if I choose (over the next six months anyway)
These keys were originally from a plastic box for storing sensitive 3 1/2 inch floppy disks. Disks are in process of being thrown out, Box is scheduled to be used as a plant propagator in the garden. The keys I think I passed on to my husband who has a collection of keys for every occasion that people mislay their own.
I really like this quotation about FEAR. I need to put it into operation - maybe especially in relation to the deep down fears I have about what might happen were I to throw something out without retaining CONTROL of it by keeping its image.
I think I filed this note in the box marked 'Handwritten Notes', which is not really throwing it out, but at least is regulating its location!
I thought that this was a sketch showing an early plan for the store-room adjacent to this work-room where I am sitting writing this blog.
However, I now realize that it is a 'naming sketch' which I probably made when my granddaughter was listing the approximate contents of the various boxes on the various shelves.

Probably the next three images should be in a posting of their own - but it's too late to start messing about with that now.

I got this environmentally friendly shopping bag at the first Fleadh Ceol I went to in Tullamore. It was great for carrying our bits and pieces daily as we moved from venue to venue.

The scraps of foam are from this year 2012. They were left over after I used two large foam cushions to make smaller cushions to fit our current kitchen chairs.
If I find the image showing the chairs, I will post it here later.
The two bracelets were bought to support charity.
The blue one says: Do not be afraid and supports CYC Catholic Youth Council - the Archbishop's idea.
The white one says: Make Poverty history and dates from the U2 Millenium campaign to get governments to change. I read somewhere that there is progress, but it is painfully slow.
