Even after this long silence I have almost nothing to report (apart from lots of fuchsia gardening done.) Not that I have been throwing out items and not recording them - on the contrary, I still keep collecting these ephemera, hoping that my motivation will return - but all I'm achieving is a bigger pile of things to throw out.
DOMESTIC CHANGE
Now there is a domestic change - we are having a major reconstruction job done downstairs, so space is needed to store various items from the room that will be 'reconstructed'.
One of the obvious places where there could be storage room is of course, where I have all my ephemera currently stacked/stored. So with some sadness, but also with some relief, I am going to start serious throwing out without the precise recording and reminiscing that has been the nature of this blog.
- This is the 'stuff' to be cleared
- Here it is packed to bring to the recycling green bin
- Here it is in the green bin (it could take more than one binful to clear it, but I'll deal with that if it happens.
Well that was written at 1634.
Now it is 1834, and in those two hours, I've emptied five boxes.
Hopefully, I will put up the images soon - have to dump the stuff in the green bin, and see if I can take a picture in night-time mode.
So here goes -

and here is the 'throwing out' box, which will need to stretch to fit everything!

these are the empty boxes when I had finished -
And here is the overflowing 'throwing-out box
It doesn't look all that impressive, mainly because the image was taken out of doors, at the green-bin, in the dark!

And here is the best part - well actually the second-best part - the main empty box

This bag was a bit of a surprise to me. The label says C-Box April 2013 - either it got overlook, or never got emptied since then.
I nearly gave in to the temptation to see what was in it, but instead COURAGEOUSLY dumped it without looking.

That gave me courage to keep going, and here is the real C-box, about to deposit its load in the not very big space in the green-bin.
The best news is that the green bin was emptied, so there is no going back from here!
