Tony and I went to London in November 2015. The purpose of the trip was to meet up with his brother Pat from Australia, but we also celebrated our 52nd Wedding anniversary while there.
Pile of items from unpacking.

This little chap is a keepsake I bought, intending to give it to my young cousin - however, torrential wind and rain prevented us meeting - so I still have the little chap.
These items are from a wonderful trip we made, a gift from Tony's nephew for our anniversary and Tony's 80th. The show was the Celtic Women, and we had an utterly delightful time. You can listen to their music here or watch one of their shows here.
We got the little card from Classycool when we saw them busking enroute to the theatre.

I met up with an artist I had contacted online and we had our first face-to-face after many Skype sessions.
She gave me a gift of an amaryllis which grew and bloomed, and now is full of green foliage.

These itemsa are from the flight, including the corks from champagne bottles that the flight attendents gave us when they heard we would be 52 years married.

these are maps from previous London visits - I hadn't realized they would go out of date so fast (I mean it is probably less than ten years since my last visit!

The map on the left shows the youth hostel in Earl's Court where we stayed. you can also see the 'rules' we agreed to while we were there.

We went searching for the hotel where we spent our honeymoon (one night - money was tight then too!)
It doesn't seem to exist, so we settled for another pub-hotel - the young staff were amused when we asked if there was anyone working there since 1962.

The heavy rain fell almost all day Sunday. In the morning, we walked to the Church - and got very wet. But a wonderful classical Mass was our reward - truly heavenly music to take our minds off our discomfort.
Label off the small suitcase I bought for £15 sterling - bag I brought was giving me trouble.

I spent the last morning at the Victoria and Albert Museum - it's huge, and I only saw a fraction of it.

These are copies of some genealogy documents I got from my McGuire cousin, could be five years ago - I do eventually get around to important things, even if it takes a while!
I also visited one of our London cousin-families. Good to keep in touch
Our last rendevous before coming home was at Heathrow where we met Tony's brother from Australia, and also his sister and nephew.Again, good to keep in touch.
Money-belt, purse, and the remaining coins after a lovely break.
